Accountant - accounts payable (Anchorage, AK)

We are growing our team at Ironwood Cross Hospitality and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be accounts payable. You would join a small organisation of about 63 people based in Anchorage. What you will do • Track costs around food costs against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to supplier orders, and clear open items. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with supplier orders.
