Phone screen booked, I am thrilled - what worked for you?

After 13 applications I finally got a call for an interview as an IT help-desk technician. I have read a lot of threads here and could not find my exact situation. I tailored my résumé and added a short note.

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 3 months ago, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
