Passed on a lead and they got the job - what worked for you?

A neighbour told me about her job search, and I shared a lead I found here. I am in Birmingham, in case local advice matters. It felt good to give something back after others helped me. It really does come around.

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.
