Passed on a lead and they got the job - what worked for you?

A neighbour told me about her job search, and I shared a lead I found here. There are 8 people counting on me, so I am trying to be careful. I was nervous but it went well. Anyone else paying it forward?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 9 months ago, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
