Passed on a lead and they got the job (update)

I reviewed a friend's résumé and he got an interview. It has been a long 10 weeks. He started on Monday. Thank you for the advice that got me here.

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 9 months ago, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
