Passed on a lead and they got the job - any advice?

A neighbour told me about her job search, and I shared a lead I found here. It has been weighing on me all week. It felt good to give something back after others helped me.

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 9 months ago, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.

I hope I can do the same when I am back on my feet.
