Passed on a lead and they got the job - any advice?

I reviewed a friend's résumé and he got an interview. I do not usually post, so bear with me. He started on Monday. Thank you for the advice that got me here.

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it last year, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
