Paid off a bill I thought I would never clear - what worked for you?

I paid off a bill that had been weighing on me. I worked as a pharmacy technician before this. I called the lender and they worked with me. Hoping it is the start of a better run.

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 9 months ago, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
