Paid off a bill I thought I would never clear - what worked for you?

I paid off a bill that had been weighing on me. There are 5 people counting on me, so I am trying to be careful. I called the lender and they worked with me. Wanted to share a good day.

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It saved me later.
