Paid off a bill I thought I would never clear - what worked for you?

My first paycheck after 14 weeks arrived today. I have been trying to stay organised about it. I called the lender and they worked with me. Hoping it is the start of a better run.

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 6 months ago, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
