Paid it forward today (update)

I referred a former colleague for a role at my new company. There are 3 people counting on me, so I am trying to be careful. It felt good to give something back after others helped me. Thank you for the advice that got me here.

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 11 months ago, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
