Paid it forward today - any advice?

I referred a former colleague for a role at my new company. I do not usually post, so bear with me. I was nervous but it went well. Anyone else paying it forward?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 11 months ago, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
