Paid it forward today - any advice?

I referred a former colleague for a role at my new company. I worked as a payroll clerk before this. It felt good to give something back after others helped me. Thank you for the advice that got me here.

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.
