Moved into a new place after weeks of searching

After 14 weeks of searching, we found an apartment we can afford in Dallas. I am in Dallas, in case local advice matters. A local programme helped with the deposit. Thanks for all the tips.

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 5 months ago, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.

Congratulations! That is a big weight off.
