Moved into a new place after weeks of searching - any advice?

We signed a lease yesterday after a long hunt. Any experience at all would help. A local programme helped with the deposit. It was worth not giving up.

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.
