Job offer came in! - 5 months and counting

They called on Tuesday with an offer and I said yes right away. I would rather hear the honest version than the polite one. I could not have done it without this community. What helped you in the first month?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 5 months ago, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
