I start a new job on Monday - what worked for you?

After 12 months I accepted a job as a payroll clerk. I worked as a payroll clerk before this. It is not my dream role, but the pay is fair and the people are kind. Any advice for starting over?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.
