I start a new job on Monday - what worked for you?

I start on Monday after a long search. I am in Tampa, in case local advice matters. I could not have done it without this community. Any advice for starting over?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 10 months ago, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
