I start a new job on Monday - first time posting

I start on Monday after a long search. I do not usually post, so bear with me. I am relieved and a bit nervous. What helped you in the first month?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 12 months ago, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
