I start a new job on Monday (Detroit)

I start on Monday after a long search. This is my first time dealing with any of this. I am relieved and a bit nervous. What helped you in the first month?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it last year, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
