I start a new job on Monday - 5 months and counting

I start on Monday after a long search. It has been a long 16 weeks. It is not my dream role, but the pay is fair and the people are kind. Any advice for starting over?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it last year, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
