They called on Thursday with an offer and I said yes right away. I have read a lot of threads here and could not find my exact situation. It is not my dream role, but the pay is fair and the people are kind. How do you handle the first week?

That is wonderful news. Keep applying for a little while if you have not signed, it is a good habit.
