I helped someone else get hired - what worked for you?

I referred a former colleague for a role at my new company. I would rather hear the honest version than the polite one. I was nervous but it went well.

I hope I can do the same when I am back on my feet.

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 8 months ago, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
