I helped someone else get hired - what worked for you?

I reviewed a friend's résumé and he got an interview. There are 12 people counting on me, so I am trying to be careful. It felt good to give something back after others helped me. Anyone else paying it forward?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.
