I helped someone else get hired - what worked for you?

I reviewed a friend's résumé and he got an interview. I would rather hear the honest version than the polite one. It felt good to give something back after others helped me. It really does come around.

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it last year, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
