I helped someone else get hired (update)

I referred a former colleague for a role at my new company. I would rather hear the honest version than the polite one. It felt good to give something back after others helped me. It really does come around.

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it last year, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
