I helped someone else get hired - first time posting

I referred a former colleague for a role at my new company. I would rather hear the honest version than the polite one. I was nervous but it went well. Anyone else paying it forward?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 4 months ago, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
