I helped someone else get hired - any advice?

A neighbour told me about her job search, and I shared a lead I found here. There are 15 people counting on me, so I am trying to be careful. He started on Monday.

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it last year, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.

I hope I can do the same when I am back on my feet.
