I helped someone else get hired - any advice?

I reviewed a friend's résumé and he got an interview. There are 15 people counting on me, so I am trying to be careful. It felt good to give something back after others helped me. Anyone else paying it forward?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 8 months ago, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
