I helped someone else get hired - any advice?

I referred a former colleague for a role at my new company. I have been trying to stay organised about it. It felt good to give something back after others helped me. Thank you for the advice that got me here.

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 4 months ago, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.

I hope I can do the same when I am back on my feet.
