I got an interview after 8 applications after 8 years as a janitorial supervisor

After 8 applications I finally got a call for an interview as a janitorial supervisor. I would rather hear the honest version than the polite one. I tailored my résumé and added a short note. How do you stay calm?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 11 months ago, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
