I got an interview after 4 applications - what worked for you?

After 4 applications I finally got a call for an interview as an electrician's helper. I worked as an electrician's helper before this. They liked my volunteering experience. How do you stay calm?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 3 months ago, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
