First paycheck after the layoff - any advice?

I finally caught up on rent after the layoff as a copywriter. There are 8 people counting on me, so I am trying to be careful. I called the lender and they worked with me. Hoping it is the start of a better run.

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It saved me later.

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 14 months ago, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
