First paycheck after the layoff after 8 years as a teaching assistant

I finally caught up on rent after the layoff as a teaching assistant. This is my first time dealing with any of this. It is a small amount, but it feels huge. Hoping it is the start of a better run.

Congratulations! Small wins matter a lot.

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it last year, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
