Back pay finally came through - any advice?

The state finally resolved my claim after a long wait. There are 17 people counting on me, so I am trying to be careful. It covered the rent I was behind on. I wanted to share in case it helps someone else.

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 5 months ago, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
