Accepted an offer after 9 months - any advice?

They called on Wednesday with an offer and I said yes right away. I would rather hear the honest version than the polite one. I could not have done it without this community. Any advice for starting over?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.
