Accepted an offer after 9 months - 20 weeks in

After 9 months I accepted a job as a teaching assistant. I have read a lot of threads here and could not find my exact situation. I am relieved and a bit nervous. What helped you in the first month?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 9 months ago, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
