Accepted an offer after 8 months

After 8 months I accepted a job as a bank teller. I would rather hear the honest version than the polite one. It is not my dream role, but the pay is fair and the people are kind. How do you handle the first week?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It saved me later.
