Accepted an offer after 8 months - 8 months and counting

I start on Monday after a long search. I have read a lot of threads here and could not find my exact situation. I am relieved and a bit nervous. How do you handle the first week?

That is wonderful news. Keep applying for a little while if you have not signed, it is a good habit.

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 8 months ago, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
