Accepted an offer after 7 months (update)

They called on Tuesday with an offer and I said yes right away. It has been a long 14 weeks. It is not my dream role, but the pay is fair and the people are kind. What helped you in the first month?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.
