Accepted an offer after 7 months - any advice?

After 7 months I accepted a job as a logistics coordinator. There are 10 people counting on me, so I am trying to be careful. I could not have done it without this community. What helped you in the first month?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.
