Accepted an offer after 7 months after 8 years as a janitorial supervisor

I start on Monday after a long search. I do not usually post, so bear with me. It is not my dream role, but the pay is fair and the people are kind. Any advice for starting over?

Well earned. Ask questions early, even small ones. People liked it.

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it last year, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
