Accepted an offer after 6 months - what worked for you?

After 6 months I accepted a job as a customer-service rep. I am in Salt Lake City, in case local advice matters. It is not my dream role, but the pay is fair and the people are kind.

Well earned. Ask questions early, even small ones. People liked it.

That is wonderful news. Keep applying for a little while if you have not signed, it is a good habit.
