Accepted an offer after 6 months - first time posting

After 6 months I accepted a job as a home health aide. There are 4 people counting on me, so I am trying to be careful. I am relieved and a bit nervous. What helped you in the first month?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 6 months ago, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
