Accepted an offer after 6 months - 6 months and counting

They called on Friday with an offer and I said yes right away. I worked as a security officer before this. It is not my dream role, but the pay is fair and the people are kind. Any advice for starting over?

That is wonderful news. Keep applying for a little while if you have not signed, it is a good habit.
