Accepted an offer after 14 months

After 14 months I accepted a job as an electrician's helper. I worked as an electrician's helper before this. I am relieved and a bit nervous. What helped you in the first month?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it last year, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
