Accepted an offer after 14 months - any advice?

They called on Friday with an offer and I said yes right away. I have read a lot of threads here and could not find my exact situation. I could not have done it without this community. What helped you in the first month?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It saved me later.
