Accepted an offer after 14 months

They called on Thursday with an offer and I said yes right away. Any experience at all would help. It is not my dream role, but the pay is fair and the people are kind. What helped you in the first month?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it last year, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
