Accepted an offer after 12 months - what worked for you?

After 12 months I accepted a job as a bookkeeper. I could not have done it without this community. What helped you in the first month?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it last year, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
