Accepted an offer after 11 months (update)

They called on Wednesday with an offer and I said yes right away. There are 5 people counting on me, so I am trying to be careful. It is not my dream role, but the pay is fair and the people are kind. What helped you in the first month?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.
